Beyond the Basics — Stitch Your Own Story

For stitchers who know the cross-stitch and want to go further. Over three weekly sessions you'll learn how traditional motifs were combined into a qabbeh (chest panel), then design and begin a panel that tells your own story.

Over 3 sessions

• Week 1: the language of motifs — regions, meanings and colour
• Week 2: composing your own chart on graph paper
• Week 3: stitching clinic and finishing techniques
